Amsterdam, Netherlands

Well it was bound to happen eventually. After almost 7 weeks of being sleep-deprived, I came down with a nasty cold. This was after getting an average of 3 hours of sleep 4 nights in a row. It hit me while I was riding a bike around Amsterdam, which is terrifying by the way. Cars, trams, motorcycles, bikes, and people filled the roads and somehow all weaved together seamlessly. Everyone knew which lane to be in and which way to go. Except for me.

Amsterdam was definitely a unique city. It had canals like Venice, but also had an urban feel. Aside from being seedy and corrupt (look up the Red Light District), it was a pretty cool city. Vondelpark, the huge park that runs through the city, was full of people riding their bikes, throwing frisbees, and having picnics.

This morning, I woke up at 4 AM and sprinted to the train station. 3 trains later, I ended up in Brussels, Belgium. I got to my hostel at 10 AM and slept until about 5 PM. I’ve truly never been so exhausted. I walked around Brussels for a bit, and now I’m going back to bed. I’m really trying to shake this cold. 2 more days until this crazy Eurotrip is over!
