Moving to Italy

It’s officially been 2 weeks since I left home, and I officially want to move to Italy. Just need to convince my family and friends to make the move with me…

Monday morning, my group of 23 toured the Colosseum and Roman Forum. Who knew that sightseeing could be so exhausting? The Colosseum exceeded all of my expectations. I’m still amazed at all of the history that has taken place over thousands of years in Rome.

We hopped on a charter bus yesterday around 2pm and took a 3-hour drive to Naples. I’m pretty sure that every single one of us fell asleep on the bus. We had dinner at a tiny pizzeria down some random alley in Naples, where I ate the best pizza I’ve ever had. I repeat, the BEST pizza I’ve ever had. And I’ve had a lot of pizza… When we each finished our first pizzas, we ordered a second pizza and split it among the group. It was THAT good.

We arrived at our hotel, which HAS AIR CONDITIONING. This is something that I definitely take for granted at home. We found a little restaurant near our hotel to watch USA play in the World Cup. Let’s not talk about that…

We’re leaving our hotel soon to visit Alenia, a supplier for Boeing. Afterwards, we’re touring Pompeii, then spending the next three nights on the Amalfi Coast. Have I already mentioned how much I love it here?
