Spring has Arrived!
It's been a crazy couple months. The last blog I posted was on April 1st - exactly 46 days ago. As I'm sitting down to write this and reflecting on the last month and a half, I honestly don't even know what to title it because so many things have happened. So I landed on "Spring has Arrived" because it's been a wild start to Spring 2022.
Over the last 46 days, I've gone on 3 trips, hit a few PR's in the gym, trained for my marathon and Mount Rainier climb, and had a ton of fun stuff happening at Theory. I've been so busy, in fact, that I forgot to announce my May challenge! For the month of May, I’m working on establishing a daily flossing habit. So my challenge is simply to floss every night. I’m 17 days in and sticking with it so far!
Long Beach
I started off the month of April with an awesome family trip in Long Beach. I haven't seen my grandparents much over the last couple years, and it was fun catching up. We all sat around our hotel room and listened to my grandparents tell the stories of how they met, their wedding day, and more. Such a special weekend.
Cabo
2 Weekends after Long Beach, I spent a few days in Cabo celebrating a friend's bachelor party. Other than getting strep throat, it was a fun weekend in the sun!
Stagecoach
After Cabo was Palm Springs for Stagecoach Country Music Festival! Carrie Underwood and Thomas Rhett were amazing, and it was very fun seeing Guy Fieri. We even got to visit Joshua Tree for the first time. I feel very blessed to be able to take these awesome trips with my family and friends!
Bond... Austin Bond
This is by far one of my favorite videos we’ve ever made for one of my favorite listings ever. Shout out to Dustin for the writing/filming/editing skills, Jon for letting me beat him up, Chad & Airial for the British accents, and the Theory Construction & Investments teams for transforming this beautiful dream home!
Theory's Burning Questions With T'wina Nobles
Had a great time interviewing WA State Senator T'wina Nobles for the latest episode of Theory’s Burning Questions. Check out the interview to learn all about T’wina and her work at the Tacoma Urban League!
Volunteer of the Year
Feeling incredibly humbled to receive the Tacoma Rescue Mission’s Volunteer of the Year award! The impact that this organization has on our community is hard to put into words, and we’re honored to play a small part in that.
Despite all of the stigmas around homelessness, no one wants to be homeless, yet thousands of people in our community find themselves without a home. The Rescue Mission not only provides basic necessities for these people (food, shelter, showers), but they also provide a pathway for them to ultimately exit homelessness. There’s still a lot of work to do, but I’m grateful for the people at TRM who are changing lives and making a real difference every single day
Menu Tasting
Menu tasting for Edison Kitchen Catering Co (coming soon)! Everything was delicious. Extremely proud of Stephanie and Shawna for knocking it out of the park with this menu. If you’re looking for an awesome Tacoma venue with incredible food options, look no further than Edison Square!
