First Third of 75 Hard!
A huge focus of my first month of the year has been completing 75 Hard. This is a 75-day challenge in which I complete everything below every single day for 2 and a half months:
1. Two 45-minute workouts per day (one of them has to be outside)
2. Follow a diet (intermittent fasting + no alcohol, sweets, or cheat meals)
3. Drink 1 gallon of water
4. Read 10 pages of a nonfiction book
5. Take a progress picture
As of Monday, I am officially 1/3 of the way through 75 Hard! Here’s a Vlog with some of my main takeaways from the first 25 Days!
Tacoma Rescue Mission
One of my favorite days each and every month: Volunteering with my team at the Tacoma Rescue Mission. No one knows when they might find themselves needing a hot meal or a place to sleep. It could happen to any of us, and I'm so grateful for an organization like TRM that cares so deeply about the people in this community. Anyone is welcome to join us for our monthly volunteer day anytime!
Happy Birthday to Easton and Papa!
Earlier this month, we celebrated the birthdays of 2 of my favorite guys. My nephew Easton turned 5, and my grandpa turned 83!! My family surprised my grandpa for his birthday and all flew down to Arizona. He's in better shape than all of us and kicked our butts on this hike. He's a role model to many and an inspiration to everyone who meets him!
Exploring New Areas
As much as I'm truly enjoying 75 Hard so far, some of the outdoor workouts have sucked (a lot), especially on cold and rainy PNW days. BUT I do love that they force me to get outside and explore some new areas! I'm a big fan of routine, but I also crave variety in my daily life. Running in the same neighborhood every day would drive be insane, so I'm having fun checking out some new places. Do you know of any cool parks or places to walk/run/hike within an hour of Tacoma?
