Florence

I’m currently on the train from Florence back to Rome. The whole rail system in Europe is so convenient. It makes traveling around a lot easier.

This morning, we climbed to the top of the bell tower next to the famous Duomo Cathedral and got a bird’s eye view of Florence. It was definitely worth the 500+ stairs. When we were about half way up, the clock struck noon, and the incredibly loud bell went off while we were inside the tower. So loud yet so cool.

We checked out of our Airbnb apartment around noon, got lunch, and then went to an amazing gelato shop where the owner made gelato right in front of us and then let us sample it. I’ve never had such fresh and creamy ice cream.

In summary: Florence is cool. Leaving is sad.
