Moving to LA + Beginning Ironman Training

I’ve lived in Washington my whole life. Aside from 2 study abroad programs in college and other travels, I’ve spent the entirety of my 28 years living between Tacoma and Seattle. I absolutely love the Pacific Northwest, and I’m grateful to live in an area with so much beauty and opportunity.

As much as I love living in Washington, I am NOT a fan of the winters. The first few months of the year are always tough for me. Seasonal depression AKA the “winter blues” is very real and has taken a toll on me for as long as I can remember.

It’s very common for retired people in Washington to go south for the winter and escape to the sun. We call them “snowbirds”. I do not want to wait until I’m 60 to be a snowbird. Tomorrow is never promised, so might as well make the most of today!

On January 12th, we made the long drive from Seattle to Los Angeles, where we’re spending 6 weeks soaking up the sun and spending time with family. Can't believe we're almost halfway done! I'm flying back to Seattle on Saturday for a wedding and some meetings in Tacoma, then I'll be back in LA through the end of February. I’m feeling incredibly blessed to have the opportunity to do this and loving every minute of it!

Monthly Challenges

At the end of 2022, I asked my friends on social media to help me pick my January challenge. I tallied the votes, and the winner was No Food Delivery for the whole month. This is a modern convenience that has become way too frequent of a habit for me. And it ain’t cheap either! I successfully completed this challenge earlier this week, although I will admit that I went out to eat A LOT in January, so I'm not confident that I actually saved any money :)

For the month of February, I am officially starting my Ironman training! This is going to be by far the hardest thing I've ever done. I made the video below talking about it. I'm honestly dreading it, but this is a bucket list item for me, and there's no time like the present!

Stevie's First Hike!

Stevie is loving LA just as much as we are!

Favorite Houses in my Neighborhood

Since arriving in LA, I've been going on long walks pretty much every day. There are some INCREDIBLE houses in the surrounding neighborhoods, and there's a wide variety of architectural styles. Here are just a few of my favorites!

Cityscape Games Grand Opening

Cityscape Games is officially open for business!! What started as an idea well over a year ago is now a reality, and we’re just getting started. Our first room “Rockstar” is truly one of the best escape rooms I’ve done, and we have 3 more Tacoma-themed rooms coming soon.

We have dreams of expanding into other markets to create more locally-themed escape room experiences that celebrate the city where they’re located. Have I mentioned that I love what I do? Book Rockstar now at CityscapeGames.com

Love My Space = Theory Property Management

Did you know that Theory has a Property Management Company?? If you have any rental properties in the greater Tacoma area, we’d love to help out and make your life a little easier. There are a lot of property management companies out there, but here are 5 things we do differently at Love My Space!

Buying a home in 2023

As a First Time Home Buyer, it can be intimidating to know if now is the right time to make the leap and invest in your first home. If you have the goal of owning a home in 2023, let one of our Agents talk you through the process and answer your questions to see if the time is NOW

February Tacoma Connect

Join us for our next Tacoma Connect! We’re kicking off the night with an Investor 101 Workshop, followed by an expert panel focused on house-hacking. In our opinion, house-hacking is one of the very best ways to get started in real estate investing, and we’re excited to dive into it! This event is for ANYONE interested in real estate investing; No experience required. As always, we’ll have some awesome live music and dinner courtesy of Buddy’s Chicken & Waffles!
