Sorrento

Incredible day. We woke up to a huge table set for 14. We were served a homemade breakfast (included in our stay) with plenty of espresso for the day ahead. I’ve never been a coffee-drinker, but now it’s essential to survival.

We walked up a giant hill to Massa, where we caught the bus to Sorrento. I will never be able to see a lemon again without thinking about Sorrento. There were lemons everywhere. Limoncello, postcards with lemons, calendars with pictures of lemons. I guess Sorrento is famous for their lemons?

We made our way to the beach, where we swam in the Mediterranean and suntanned (burned) for a few hours. Then we ate dinner at a little beachfront restaurant.

After sunset, we walked down to the water. We sat on huge rocks, looked up at the stars, and talked for hours. I love these people so much already. We’re a big dysfunctional family, and I love it.
