I Started a Podcast!
I’ve thought about starting a podcast easily 100+ times over the last few years. Every time I’ve gone down the podcast rabbit hole, I’ve ended up deciding against it because there are SO many other podcasts out there, so does the world really need one more?
The answer to that question is probably no, but I recently realized that this is the wrong question to be asking. If I’m going to start a podcast, it should be because I WANT to. Simple as that. And I do want to. I’ve wanted to for years. Now I just needed a co-host.
The first person that came to mind is my friend, coworker, and Stevie’s sister’s mom: The wonderful Jamie Erskine. So on July 27th, I texted Jamie:
“Sending this impulsive text before I can give it too much thought or talk myself out of it. We should start a podcast.”
Her response? “I’m in.”
Fast forward to today. We've recorded 4 episodes so far, and we're about to go into the studio to record our 5th. It has been an absolute blast so far. We've laughed, we've cried, we've talked about our weekends. And that’s probably just about how every episode is going to go. No set theme or genre. Probably weekly. The occasional guest. But mostly just two friends talking about life - the good, the bad, and the ugly.

Ironman Training
I am less than 1 week away from my Half Ironman! Yesterday I rode to the location where I completed my very first triathlon last summer. It’s crazy to think how much I struggled my way through it that day, and I’m about to attempt 4x the total distance 6 days from today. Feeling excited and grateful for my healthy body that has gotten me to this point

Island Palooza
Throwback to Island Palooza last month! One of my favorite days of the year for the 6th year in a row. Games, volleyball, trivia, campfire, good food, and great company. HERE's a video I made documenting the day. Already looking forward to next year
Portland with the Fam + Street of Dreams
Another amazing year at the Portland Street of Dreams! It was a little bit dangerous walking through beautiful mansions when we were right in the middle of a home remodel ourselves
Walked away with some great ideas and also felt reassured that many of the design decisions we’ve made showed up in several of the houses this year
